Honest and Powerful Reflections from Homeward House Families
At Homeward House, families are not just participants in a program—they are the heart of everything we do. In the summer of 2025, we invited clients to share their experiences through a survey, and 35 families responded with honesty, gratitude, and powerful reflections.
This report, In Their Words: Quotes and Reflections from Families Served by Homeward House, highlights those voices. Parents describe the life-changing impact of having trusted, judgment-free support from Parent Ally Mentors—people who have walked similar paths and know what it means to navigate recovery, child welfare involvement, and the challenges of rebuilding stability. Families also speak to the importance of the Family Visitation & Resource Center, a welcoming space that feels like home, where families consistently experience dignity, safety, and connection.
Community Impact
The impact is clear: with reunification rates above 90% in 2024 and more than 240 families connected to vital resources, Homeward House is not only strengthening families but also the broader community.
Above all, this report reminds us that when families are met with compassion, respect, and real-life support, transformation is possible.
